Pacific Wings Airlines was a regional airline of the United States of America headquartered in Dallas, operating in the field of regular and charter passenger traffic at airports in Hawaii. More than 90 scheduled flights are operated daily by the company's aircraft.
The airline's home registry and its main transit hub is Honolulu International Airport, the carrier uses Kahului Airport as another hub.
History: Airline Air Nevada was formed in 1974 and began operations in July of the same year, having a license for passenger and cargo charter flights. In 1978, the company started regular passenger flights. After Eagle Canyon Airlines acquired the entire Air Nevada route network, the carrier ceased operations in January 1998, changed its official name to Pacific Wings, and resumed regular passenger traffic in the Hawaiian Islands. The Pacific Wings is equally owned by Greg Calstorf and Frank Ford.
On February 1, 2007, the airline opened regular routes to the destinations of Honolulu-Molokai, Honolulu-Lanai and Kahului-Molokai, tickets for all flights for which were sold for $49 one way. A month later, another Honolulu-Kapalua route was launched. The program of cheap tariffs of the company received the marketing name "PW Express" and operated until July 2009.
Corporate activities: The headquarters of Pacific Wings is located in Dallas (Texas). Previously, the airline's management center was located in the local transportation terminal of Kahului Airport (Maui Island, Hawaii).
Pacific Wings owns two local airlines - New Mexico Airlines and GeorgiaSkies. All three carriers use the same callsign and operate under the same IATA and ICAO codes, but are geographically distributed across different regions of the United States.
