Andhadhun (2018 Film) : Movie Story and Review

Andhadhun is a Bollywood thriller film released in 2018, directed by Shriram Raghavan. The film stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Tabu, Radhika Apte in the lead roles. The film stars Ayushmann Khurrana as a piano player. The film was released in theaters on 31 August 2018.

Movie story

The film itself begins with a disturbing scene. Where a rabbit is seen running around in a cabbage field and a hunter is constantly targeting him. But his target is missing again and again. Then there is a loud gunshot and the screen goes black. This is just the beginning, Andhadhun is full of many such surprises.

Akash (Ayushmann Khurrana) is playing the character of a blind man who plays Piono and is looking for a perfect tune. He has a black and white cat who is his only companion and also a music partner. Then one day Akash collides with Sophie (Radhika Apte), an attractive girl, through an accident. There seems to be a spark between them.

Meanwhile, the audience is also given knowledge of certain traffic rules. On the other side, there is Pramod Sinha (Anil Dhawan) who is a Bollywood star of Passed time. He keeps old posters of his films in his room. Apart from this, he keeps watching videos of his films and comments on him on YouTube. He has a wife Simi (Tabu) who is much younger than him and has some desires of her own.

Further, Akash finds himself playing piano in a room. A dead body is lying in this room. The more he tries to get away from it, the more he gets trapped. Ethics are at stake due to betrayal and trickery.

Film Review

Due to the script being tight, you will not get a chance to blink in the first half of the film, but after the interview, the story of the film looked a bit cramped. However, during the climax, 'Andhadhun' suspense dose will make you stick to the chair again. Radhika Apte's character will act as a spice of romance in the film, while Ayushmann Khurrana and Tabu will be seen in the front giving thriller, suspense, twist ad turn and plenty of comedy.

Why watch the movie

Most of the songs of the film Andhadhun have been sung by Amit Trivedi, which goes along with the film. You will not know when the songs came and when they left. If we talk about background score, then it proved to be very helpful in creating suspense. Ayushmann Khurrana has proved himself in this film as always. At the same time, Tabu also played a brilliant character in 'Andhadhun', like the film 'Drishyam'. If you like suspense, twist and turn and comedy, then the whole package will entertain you.

Ayushman Khurana is praised for one thing. In all the films he has chosen in his career so far, almost all of them have achieved something new. 'Andhadhun' is also the choice of the same link. He has closely caught the character of a blind man. Also, the character's mood changes moment by moment in acting well. That is, where they want to see a good person, they look like a good person, and where they have to show the dark side, they look evil. Another good role is recorded on his CV.

If Ayushman impresses, Tabu steals the limelight with her amazing acting. She looks brutal villain, helpless Victim, frustrated wife, dominating girlfriend and looks effortless. There are very few actresses in Hindi cinema who can play so much in one role. It is a visual treat to see Tabu acting in this film.

Director Sriram Raghavan will have to be praised. He has threaded the city of Pune very beautifully. Local accents and small references make the story even more believable. Such as Prabhat Road, Alankar Theater, Sakya Newspaper, Misal Pav etc.

Andhadhun has been awarded the National Film Award under the Best Hindi Film category at the 66th National Film Awards.
