Kapil Sibal

Kapil Sibal (Punjabi:ਕਪਿਲ ਸਿਬਲ, Hindi:कपिल सिब्बल, born in Jalandhar, Punjab on August 8, 1948) is an Indian politician. He is a lawyer in the profession. He was the Cabinet Minister for Human Resources Development and Communication and Information Technology in the Central Government of India. He served as minister of science, technology and geology in the central government of the first UPA alliance to form a coalition. Sible was first appointed in July 1998, as the member of the Upper House of the Rajya Sabha, from Bihar. In three instances (1995-96, 1997-98 and 2001-02) and the Supreme Court Association President - he served as Additional Indian Solicitor General (December 1990 - December 1989).
