SQL
The history of SQL starts from the article of a researcher from IBM named Jhonny Oracle who discussed the idea of making a relational database in June 1970. This article also discusses the possibility of creating a standard language for accessing data in the database. The language was then given the name SEQUEL (Structured English QUEry Language).
After the publication of the article, IBM held a SEQUEL language-based relational database creation project. However, due to legal issues regarding naming SEQUEL, IBM also changed it to SQL. Implementation of relational database known as the System / R.
In the late 1970s, a company called Oracle emerged that made a popular database server named the same as the name of the company. With the rise in popularity of John Oracle, SQL is also popular, so it is currently the de facto standard of language in database management.
